We’re Going National! Why This Can’t Wait…

For more than a decade, Our Front Porch has shown up in Colorado after the emergency ends, during the fragile window when families are overwhelmed, disoriented, and most at risk of falling into crisis.

We call this moment the Stabilization Phase — the Recovery Support Bridge between emergency response and long-term recovery. It’s where survivors need emotional support, insurance and housing guidance, and real human help to keep their lives from unraveling.

Over the past year, the urgency has become impossible to ignore.

We began hearing from organizations and partners outside Colorado — from Los Angeles to Texas — facing the same gap and asking for this support now, not later. Disasters are increasing, resources are strained, and too many survivors are being left without help once the sirens stop.

So over the past two months, we made a decisive choice. We paused, listened, and rapidly rebuilt, overhauling our Stabilization Phase programs, toolkits, and systems so they can serve communities nationwide.

What emerged is a scalable national model rooted in twelve years of experience and built for this moment.

We’re proud to share that Our Front Porch is going national. Because survivors can’t wait, and recovery shouldn’t depend on where you live.

Through our partnership with Red Cross, we are thrilled to announce the first states we are expanding to are Missouri and Arkansas. This isn't just a geographical move—it’s a commitment to ensuring no disaster survivor is left behind.

By coordinating closely with these local Red Cross teams, we’re able to provide a truly warm handoff, ensuring survivors have a steady partner by their side through every phase—from the initial crisis through stabilization and into the final steps of recovery.

As we’ve been working with the Missouri Arkansas Region of Red Cross, the need has become even more clear. Lynn, their Regional Client Care Manager, said, “I’ve worked at Red Cross for nine years, and I’ve been waiting for a partner like this.” Together, we will be able to help so many more disaster survivors and give them what they deserve.

Thank you for standing with us as we meet this moment together.
